The type of personal information we collect

All data you enter into the PDFancyFolders app is stored on your own device. We do not collect any of this data or any other information from your device.

If you contact support via email, we may keep your contact information, including your name your email address and any other information you send us.

We do not share your personal information with anyone unless we have a legal obligation to do so.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

We get information only from you, e.g. as part of a support request. We use your personal information only for the purpose of providing the service you expect from us.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting [email protected]

How we store your personal information

We use best industry practice to store your information. However, most personal information we receive will be sent to our support email address. Email is generally not a very secure communication channel. So if you want to send us sensitive files, for instance to investigate a PDF extraction problem, please get in touch beforehand to arrange a more secure data transfer channel.

We will keep email backups indefinitely unless you tell us to delete your messages and we have no legal obligation to keep them.

If you send us sensitive files on a channel other than email, we will delete those files as soon as they have served their purpose or when you tell us to do so, unless we have a legal obligation to keep them.
